The type of custom banners you need depends on where they'll hang or stand. A job site fence, a trade show booth and a new storefront each take a different banner. For a booth floor, start with retractable banner stands or banner stands. Browse the range below, or tell us where yours is going and our team will help you pick. Nothing prints until you've approved your digital proof.

Where the banner goes sets how it's held up. A fence or wall banner ties on through grommets, the metal rings along its edge. A pole banner slides onto brackets, and an overhead banner hangs from a frame above a booth or hall. Find your spot in the table below.
| Where it goes | How it's held up | Material that usually fits | Common size | Who sees it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Outdoor fence or building wall | Grommets | 13 oz smooth vinyl, scrim vinyl when exposed, or mesh on a windy fence | 3'x6', 4'x6', 3'x8' | Drivers and visitors across the lot |
| Street, campus or parking lot pole | Pole brackets | Nylon | Sized to the brackets | Passing traffic and foot traffic |
| Booth or lobby floor | Retractable stand, X-frame, tripod or frame stand | No-curl opaque fabric or smooth vinyl | Sized to the stand | Attendees in the aisle, at eye level |
| Overhead at a booth or hall | Hanging frame or ceiling mount | Fabric graphic | Sized to the frame | The whole hall, above the crowd |
| Indoor wall, stage or doorway | Grommets or a header position | Satin or smooth vinyl | 10'x3', 3'x6' | A seated audience or lobby visitors |
A standing display makes the most sense when it goes from booth to booth. If your banner is going on one fence and staying there, a single vinyl banner with grommets is the simpler pick, and we'll say so. Replacement graphics are in the range too, so a stand can carry a new message later.
Simply, go with vinyl anywhere outdoors or exposed, and fabric or satin for indoor rooms under bright lights. Vinyl banners handle rain and outdoor weather. For an exposed wall, scrim vinyl is the one to pick, because a woven layer inside gives it extra strength. On a windy fence, go with mesh (more on that below). Indoors, satin or an opaque fabric that won't curl hangs flat and cuts the glare, where glossy vinyl can throw the lights back at your audience.
For a first hung banner, start with our 13 oz smooth vinyl banner with grommets. There's no hardware to buy, it hangs indoors or out, and it prints your personalized full-color logo and photos so your message is clear from a distance. If people will see both sides, such as a banner over a walkway or in the middle of a room, go with heavier double-sided vinyl so one side doesn't show through the other.
Printing in full color adds no cost per color, so a busy logo with photos costs the same to print as a logo in one color. If you'd rather avoid vinyl, PVC-free banner media is in the range too. For retractable banner stands and banner stands, you pick the graphic material on each product page, and our team will help you choose.
Mesh lets wind pass through, so on a fence it stays put. A solid vinyl banner catches the wind like a sail and can tear its grommets (the metal-ringed holes) or pull the fence over. That is the real difference in the vinyl vs mesh banner choice. Vinyl gives the sharpest, most solid color, so it suits walls, indoor spaces and sheltered spots. Mesh suits fences, scaffolding and open lots where gusts are likely.
Still deciding? Start here. If the banner will hang on an open fence or scaffolding, pick Mesh. If it stays indoors, against a wall or somewhere sheltered, pick Vinyl. Fabric is the softer, glare-free option for indoor events and photos. Then make the second choice:
Not sure which fits your site? Tell us where it's going and whether it's indoors, outdoors or windy, and we'll point you to the right one.
Every order gets a digital proof before anything is printed, orders can start from a single banner (varies by product), you have one dedicated account manager, and every order is satisfaction guaranteed.
Size follows how far back people stand and how much space the banner has to fill. Measure the wall, fence or frame, and we'll suggest a fit from common sizes such as 3'x6', 4'x6', 3'x8' and 10'x3'.
Go with a retractable banner stand when your display travels from booth to booth and one person sets it up indoors. Choose a hanging banner when the booth or hall has overhead rigging and you want your brand seen above the crowd. Outdoors on a fence or wall, a grommet vinyl banner is simpler. For a flag on a pole or a sidewalk sign, see our flags and signs.
Custom banners are used for trade show and conference booths, grand openings, groundbreaking ceremonies, health fairs, recruiting fairs and company picnics. The same banner comes back out event after event, so your brand stays in view without reordering.
Minimums start as low as one unit, so you can order a single banner. Order one banner per spot, such as one stand per booth or one hung banner per fence run.
Timing depends on the banner type and material, and your account manager will give you a straight date before you commit. If you're short on time, just ask about our quick delivery option. We chase every deadline, keep you updated and deliver to any address in Texas and across the United States.
